Berlin
The IBZ is situated at the edge of the southwest center of Berlin in the district Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and near the FU Campus, as well as to the institutes of the Max-Planck-Society, both constituting the board of the house.
The facility was built in 1983 by the well-known architecture office Otto Steidle and belongs with its 78 apartments of different sizes, to the most ambitious buildings of its time and model for the IBZ-concept par excellence. The IBZ Berlin is one of the largest IBZ’s in Germany, besides Heidelberg and Hamburg.
Accessibility with public transport
The IBZ Berlin has excellent connection, as well to the center as to the FU Campus by U-Bahn line 3. The S-Bahn circle line station Heidelberger Platz is also within easy walking distance.
